The Claim

Penis enlargement is one of the COVID-19 vaccine's side effects.

Emerging story

In December 2020, news that the COVID-19 vaccines cause penis enlargement started circulating online.

Users claimed COVID-19's vaccine doubles the penis size with every vaccine shot and it's very effective.

The claim has been widely circulating on Facebook, Twitter, and WhatsApp.

Misbar’s Analysis

Misbar's investigation didn't find any official evidence or document to support the claim. According to the CDC, after being vaccinated you may have some side effects, which are normal signs that your body is building protection. These side effects may affect your ability to do daily activities, but they should go away in a few days.

The Pfizer BioNTech vaccine has gone through the required clinical trial that was presented to over 44,000 participants and scored over 95% in effectiveness and safety.
Our research found that any vaccine can cause side effects. For the most part, these are minor (for example, a sore arm or low-grade fever) and go away within a few days.
Penis enlargement hasn't been listed in the vaccine side effects.
