Misbar’s Analysis
The Misbar team has determined that the claim is false. While the object in the image is in fact real, the object is not a clutch, but is in fact, another Bible. The first Bible belonged to late Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall. The object in question is another Bible that belonged to a woman named Regina Shelton, who took care of the Vice President and her little sister when they were children and their mother worked late shifts.
A video feed from the Associated Press shows that the object in question is in fact another Bible. We rate the claim as false.
