The Claim

The Nashville bomber was afraid of 5G, motivating his decision to conduct the bombing.

Emerging story

Social media users are questioning if the person responsible for the Christmas day bombing in Nashville, Tennessee was paranoid about 5G technology.

Misbar’s Analysis

Misbar has discovered that officials have named Anthony Quinn Warner, 63, as the man behind the mysterious explosion in which he was killed while sitting in an explosives-filled recreational vehicle. According to the InsuranceJournal.com, the explosion in Music City’s historic downtown damaged more than 40 businesses.

While there is not a conclusive motive yet for Warner’s actions, there is insight into his state of mind two days before the bombing. According to Newschannel5.com, Warner sent a nine page letter to several friends. One friend reported that the letter contained out-of-the-ordinary thoughts and theories by Warner. For example, Warner wrote about 9/11 conspiracy theories, ending with the statement: "The moon landing and 9/11 have so many anomalies they are hard to count." Warner also wrote that "September 2011 was supposed to be the end game for the planet," because that is when he believed that aliens and UFO's began launching attacks on earth. He also wrote about reptilians and lizard people that he believed control the earth. While Warner's writings cover a variety of bizarre theories, he never mentions AT&T or anything else that appears to suggest a motive in the Nashville bombing.

According to the Tennessean.com, conspiracy theorists said the AT&T building near the blast housed tainted voting machines. That false claim was quickly denounced by company spokespeople, and multiple news outlets confirmed the conspiracy theory was not true.

The Nashville attack came as 5G technology has been increasingly attributed to various health concerns even as deployment has continued nationwide. Those claims have been dismissed by the medical community and the telecoms industry but have resulted in vandalism against cell towers and other communications facilities as rumors spread online according to SmartCitiesDive.com

At this point there is no clear answer why Quinn blew up his RV and himself. There is however evidence that he may have been delusional at least two days before the bombing. Any other reason for the attack may not be clear anytime soon. “It could be months or longer before the world learns the motive in the downtown Nashville Christmas morning bombing,” an Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) spokesman said. “Bombing investigations can take years," said Darrell DeBusk, an FBI spokesman based in Tennessee. The FBI continues to follow up on leads and explore possible motives of the Nashville bombing.
