On February 5th, a Facebook user posted a photo stating, “AMERICA IN DECLINE. This decrepit old grifter works MAYBE five hours a day. We traded in a work horse, for someone that belonged out to pasture or sent to the glue factory a long time ago. Nothing says we threw in the towel better than this nauseating image, the ‘commander in chief’ can’t even stay awake.“ The post was followed by this photo:
The responses on the post were not positive. Many of the comments included hate and dissatisfaction towards the president and his actions.
Misbar’s Analysis
As always, once an individual takes office, they become the target of memes, hate, love, and jokes all over social media. This latest discussion is regarding Joe Biden taking a nap in the oval office.
The photo surfaced only recently and has begun to spread. Facebook has already taken action, tagging the photo as false.
The photo appears to have been altered based on an original photo of Biden in the office. In both photos, he’s shown wearing a darker suit with a blue tie.
Furthermore, research shows that this original photo may also have been combined with another segment from a video posted in 2015 which shows Biden briefly falling asleep during an Obama speech about debt.

There is no additional evidence or artifacts to support this claim. Therefore, Misbar finds this claim to be false.
