Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar's investigation found this Tweet to be part of a commotion caused by former President Trump's second impeachment trial.
Kamala Harris’ response, “Does one of us have to come out alive?” was clearly said in jest and she didn’t direct any harm toward Trump or Pence. While Twitter user Jack Posobiec akcnowledges that Harris was joking, his post is likely a response to the call for Trump to be held accountable for what he said in his speech before the January 6th storming of the U.S. Capitol. Supporters of President Trump are defending him by referencing this video, arguing that what she said should be held to the same standards of accountability. Some have shared old tweets of President Joe Biden and Lead House impeachment manager, Jamie Raskin, highlighting the words “fight like hell” in a similar attempt to defend Trump.
