"In Israel now has a drug treatment that has cured 100% of all the active cases of COVID-19. It's an inhaler that kills one hundred percent of the virus within a day or two. The one proviso it doesn't work if the patient has already been on a ventilator" ~ @BarryNussbaum

Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar's investigation found that EXO-CD24 inhaler treatment exists and went through the first trial phase, yet there is scant evidence.
The EXO-CD24 inhaler treatment, developed by Prof Nadir Arber at the Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center (Ichilov Hospital), tested on 30 patients with moderate to severe conditions, all of whom recovered.
On Feb. 4, Ichilov Hospital released the results of its study. The new drug had cured 96% of all those who had received it during the first, experimental stage.
According to the hospital, out of the 30 patients who were given the drug, 29 showed marked improvement within two days and were released from the hospital three to five days later
The remaining patient has also recovered but her recovery took longer.
Dr. Shiran Shapira, who manages the lab where the drug was developed, said in an interview with i24, “What makes our drug unique is that it does not attack the virus directly. Instead, it focuses on the immune system, which starts going berserk. For that reason, it makes no difference what particular mutation the patient has.”
She also mentions that no drug has been proven to be effective.
The EXO-CD24 is based on exosomes, minute particles in the cell fluid that play a role in intercellular communication, into which the researchers introduced CD24, a protein that removes excess immune cells, which is apparently damaged when the immune system gets out of control.
The excessive response of the immune system is often worse for coronavirus patients than the effect of the virus itself, and most of the companies developing treatments for the severe stage of the disease are actually trying to calm the immune system in various ways.
According to Dr.Shapira, EXO-CD24 is not a COVID-19 cure itself but rather a treatment that will boost the immune system and help COVID-19 patients to regain consciousness.
Dr.Shapia also mentioned that if a patient is already on ventilation, it is too late for the drug under trial to help.
Misbar's team also found incompatibility between Prof Nadir Arber's and Dr. Shiran Shapira's interviews.
The claim circulating is misleading.
