Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar has discovered that a 39 year old woman from Utah passed away four days after her second dosage of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine according to kristv.com. According to Fox News, Kassidi Kurill received her second dose of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine on Monday, February 1, 2021. The AARP says that the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine has quickly gained a reputation for packing a punch, with side effects that may include fatigue, chills, headache, muscle aches and pains, and even a fever. On February 5, 2021, Kurill died of multiple organ failure.
According to Kurill’s father, her arm was sore after the first shot and she experienced no other side effects, but it was when she received her second dose things went wrong. After she received her second dose, she soon became ill and ended up in a hospital, where doctors determined that her liver was failing. She died 30 hours later.
Dr. Erik Christensen, chief medical examiner for Utah’s Health Department, told Fox News that the mom’s second dose and her death are only “temporally related.” According to Christensen: “We don’t have any evidence that there are connections between the vaccines and deaths at this point. We don’t have any indication of that.” An autopsy was performed on Kurill’s body, but the state Medical Examiner’s Office could not comment on it due to privacy laws.
The Food and Drug Administration requires that vaccination providers report any deaths after COVID-19 shots to the Vaccine Adverse Event Report System (VAERS). According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), over 92 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered up to March 8, 2021. VAERS has received 1,637 reports of death (0.0018%) among people who received a COVID-19 vaccine. According to the CDC, a review of available clinical information revealed no evidence that vaccination contributed to patient deaths.
