Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar's investigation found the claim misleading.
Anastasia Hanson created the campaign, 56, of California, told Britain’s The Sun that she started the fundraising effort because she seriously felt sorry for the multimillionaire royal couple.

Hanson insisted her online crowdfunding campaign, titled ‘Harry and Meghan $5 Donation to Buy Home (£3.61)’, was not a joke, claiming she wanted to help the Sussexes, who are worth millions, through a "very rough time."
However, the GoFundMe campaign has is deleted. The fundraiser page now reads: "Campaign not found."
The GoFundMe campaign started two days after the interview before being shut down on Saturday after three donations. Hanson herself started the bid with $5, followed by 'a supporter' who donated $100, and an 'anonymous' person who donated $5.

The couple did not collect money from the public to pay their mortgage; a fan did.
