The Claim

The ship Ever Given, under the direction of Hillary Clinton, is holding human captives meant for trafficking.

Emerging story

On March 23, 2021, the massive container ship Ever Given ran aground in the Suez Canal. This accident quickly became notorious and has proven to be a disaster for commerce, as the Suez is a crucial waterway for international shipping. Engineers are currently working to dislodge the ship, but every passing hour that the Suez remains blocked is catastrophic for trade.

With worldwide attention on the Ever Given’s operating company, the Evergreen Group, some have speculated that the company may have been using their ship for human trafficking. The evidence for this claim is linked to the QAnon conspiracy group and their suggestion that Hillary Clinton is part of an international cabal of pedophilic Satan-worshippers.

Misbar’s Analysis

Two pieces of evidence have been repeatedly cited as proof of Hillary Clinton’s alleged link to human trafficking onbard the Ever Given: the call sign of the ship is H3RC (mirroring the initials of Hillary Rodham Clinton) and the name of the ship’s parent company, Evergreen (which was Clinton’s Secret Service codename).

International container ships are given call signs according to their home ports, and the Ever Given is no exception. Its call sign is in accordance with Panama’s naming formula, where the ship is registered. As for the Evergreen Group, the company was founded and named in 1968, long before the Clintons entered public life.

Although the link between the Ever Given to Hillary Clinton and a supposed “deep state” is an extremely tenuous connection, we should note that human trafficking is nothing to scoff at. Container ships smuggling human cargo is something that does happen, and we at Misbar do not wish to detract from the seriousness of this topic. To this end, we believe it is important to look at facts and not conspiracies drawn from very weak evidence.
