Matt Gaetz recently released a letter in which women who allegedly worked at his office defend him. In the letter, it says that he treated these women with respect, fostered their professional growth, and so on. The letter was shared by many on social media.
Misbar’s Analysis
Senator Matt Gaetz is currently undergoing the mother of all scandals involving sex trafficking, prostitution, pedophilia and so on. Few have defended him – even the GOP have distanced themselves from him. While the investigation is ongoing, it will likely have a significant effect on the GOP in the near future.
Misbar's investigation found that there’s something suspicious about this letter. Mainly, the letter is unsigned. It simply says, “The Women of the Office of U.S. Congressman Matt Gaetz,” typed and unaccompanied by handwritten signatures. Matt Gaetz’s office claims that it was written by all of the women in his office, including his female staffers. They don't explain why not a single woman signed it specifically. Notably, his chief of staff didn’t sign it either. It’s possible that his staff will come out soon and explain their anonymity, but at the moment it’s suspicious.
