Amazon is conducting a raffle to give away free AirPods.

In March and April 2021, many people received messages allegedly from Amazon that claimed they won free AirPods.
Misbar’s investigation found that the text received by many phone-owners is a scam. The text reads: “Amazon: Congratulations [your name], you came second in this week’s Amazon pods raffle! Follow this link to…” If followed, the link asks for personal information.
According to the Better Business Bureau, the ostensible raffle is a scam. They warn the public that the message is not actually from Amazon, and that any message that claims you won something from a contest or raffle you did not enter is likely fraudulent.
Amazon has a page that can help you to tell if a message allegedly received from them is real or a scam.
If you receive a text from an unknown number claiming that you won something, you should check with the Better Business Bureau and the company making the claim before responding or clicking on a link.
