Misbar’s investigation found that the claim stems from an article on Best News Here titled “Q: 100% Truth! Lin Wood Destroys Deep State Cabal! PANIC in DC Pope Francis Dead! Vatican Gold Gone! (Must Video).” Best News Here is a fake news site. On April 21, 2021, the day that the claim went viral, Pope Francis addressed his general audience from the Vatican.
On April 24, he showed up to Paul VI Hall to celebrate his name-day and support distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Since Pope Francis is alive and well, we rate this claim as false.
