Misbar’s Analysis

Misbar’s investigation found that while the video is real, the English subtitles accompanying it are not. The video is taken from a speech Jong-un gave to a military parade in October 2020. The full speech is below.

Although this writer does not speak Korean, multiple news sources report that in the part of the speech in question, Jon-un actually says: "To all the people of this entire country and soldiers of the Korean People's Army on this October anniversary, to the public safety officers and the Worker-Peasant Red Guards and members of the Red Youth Guards, to the delegates of the 75th anniversary celebration ceremony and citizens of Pyongyang, to the military officers and units participating in this military ceremony for this glorious October anniversary…”

We contacted a Korean-English translator, who reported that nowhere in the speech does Jon-un discuss Biden or even the United States at all.

Since the video was published with fake subtitles, we rate this claim as fake.
