Misbar’s investigation found that Biden is not teaching a class on fake news at Tulane. Rather, Biden will be one of many guest speakers during a 10-week Media Polarization and Public Policy Impacts course. Other guest speakers include Dr. Deborah Birx, Susan Glasser, Margaret Sullivan, Juan Williams, Kylie Atwood, Margaret Brennan, Bret Stephens, and Dr. Michael Fauntroy.
The course description states that it will examine “the current state of the media landscape in the United States and how media polarization, fake news and the economics of the news business impact public policymaking in Washington D.C.”
Since fake news is only one element of the course, and since Biden is one of many guest speakers, we rate this claim as misleading.
