East Jerusalem Hospital Network is Not Associated With Nas Daily
EJHN released a statement denying the collaboration (Screenshot).

The Claim

Nas Daily collaborated with the East Jerusalem hospital network to raise funds on their behalf.

Emerging story

A fundraiser started by the video blog Nas Daily claims to be raising money for the East Jerusalem Hospital Network (EJHN). The network consists of six hospitals in Palestine, namely, Augusta Victoria Hospital, Makassed Hospital, Saint John Eye Hospital Group, Sheikh Jarrah Palestinian Red Crescent Society, Hospital Princess Basma Centre for Children with Disabilities, and St. Joseph's Hospital in Sheikh Jarrah. The original post (pictured below in Arabic) explains that they reached out to a number of hospitals, including Sheikh Jarrah.  Hospitals allegedly told them that they needed $7 million to cover costs and they donated $1000 to start. (The post has since been deleted.)

The Nas Daily page was created by Nuseir Yassin and has over 20 million followers, while Nas Daily Arabic has almost 5 million followers.

Misbar’s Analysis

Misbar's investigation found this claim to be false. While the fundraiser, pictured below, has accumulated almost $70,000, it is not in any way associated with the East Jerusalem Hospitals Network (EJHN) nor have they received any funds from the campaign.

The EJHN released a statement on their Facebook page explaining that the page's entity claiming to raise funds on their behalf has never communicated nor coordinated with them or any of the six hospitals in their network. They asked people to be cautious and check the validity before donating to any charities.

Nas Daily's fundraiser has now stopped, at the time of this article, it is unclear where or how the funds raised will be used or if they are still held by the website. Neither Nas Daily nor Yassin has since made any comments on the situation.
