Recently, Dr. Fauci and Dr. Marks were interviewed by the Senate. They were asked how many CDC employees are vaccinated. A tweet by Breaking911 said that 40-50% of CDC employees are refusing to get vaccinated.
Anti-vaxxers proceeded to share the news on social media.
Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar's investigation found that the tweet takes what Dr. Marks and Dr. Fauci said and twists it completely. While the two doctors did say that about 40-50% of CDC employees aren’t vaccinated, they never said that they are refusing to do so. As of May 15, 2021, about 36% of Americans have been fully vaccinated, having received either two doses of the Modern and Pfizer vaccine or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
It’s worth noting that Breaking911 isn’t a trustworthy news source. Media Bias/Fact Check rates them as junk news, as they post many misleading headlines and have a heavy bias and a lack of transparency.
