A user posted a picture of the Swastika flag in Gaza, alleging that this is an Islamist Jihadist genocidal call to annihilate the entire Jewish people.

The Swastika is an ancient symbol used in many different cultures for at least 5,000 years before Adolf Hitler made it the center of Nazi science. Its current use by some extremist groups reinforces hate.

MENA: Misbar’s investigation found that the claim is misleading, as the picture flutters on the Gaza border during the return marches in 2018. It does not represent any party. It is a personal act of one of the demonstrators during the protest. After widespread the photo, Hamas responded in a statement on its official page reprobating the unacceptable act, describing it as an extraordinary knowledge of the Palestinian people.
