The claim went viral in late May 2021 following a TikTok post alleging that a video shows evidence of UFOs.
Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar’s investigation found that the video actually depicts a spotlight display put on by Mystic Lake Casino in Minnesota.
We conducted a reverse image search of stills from the video and found that it was first published online in 2018.
The casino implores potential clients to “follow the lights to a place where safety and fun shine brighter together.”
While we cannot definitively say that no UFOs have been spotted in Irvine, we are certain that this video does not depict one.
