On May 22, ABC News reported that Kevin Spacey is about to have his first cinema appearance in years. Other news outlets, such as CNN and Slate, posted articles about it. This was disappointing for many social media users, who hoped that Spacey would face repercussions for the sexual assault allegations made against him.
In 2018, allegations against Kevin Spacey were made by his coworkers. A man also accused Spacey of groping him decades ago. After denying some of the accusations, Spacey was kicked off of Netflix’s House of Cards and hasn’t worked on a film or show since.
Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar’s investigation found that while Spacey is going to technically be in a film, he’s far from starring in a Hollywood blockbuster. He’s going to have a cameo appearance in a low-budget Italian film, L’uomo Che Disegnò Dio.
The film seems to be about a blind artist, not an accused pedophile, as some articles say. With the exception of Spacey’s appearance, the entire film will be in Italian and as such will star Italian actors.
