Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar’s investigation found that Trump is not back on Twitter. The statement shared in one of the viral posts making the claim actually comes from Trump’s personal website.
Twitter banned Trump following the January 6 Capitol riot. In the official statement about the permanent suspension, they said: “we have permanently suspended the account due to the risk of further incitement of violence.”
@realofficeof45, one of the accounts social media users say is Trump, has a bio reading: “I am NOT the real Trump and any posts made do not necessarily reflect the thoughts and opinions of the real DJT. Posting all statements from the President.”
Just to make sure, we combed Twitter for @realDonaldTrump, and saw that his account is still suspended.
