Misbar’s investigation found that, contrary to President Biden's and Vice President Harris’ claim, the number is actually much lower.
About 41% of Americans are fully vaccinated, having received the recommended number of doses required for their vaccine to work properly. Biden and Harris are likely confusing the percentage with Americans who have received any number of doses, which is over 50%.
Moreover, the vaccination rate isn’t evenly distributed amongst the nation.
States have vastly different numbers. At the time of writing, 56% of Vermont’s population is fully vaccinated, with Mississippi only reaching 27%. In 19 states, over half of residents are fully vaccinated.
