Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar has discovered that the original photo was published in a 1964 issue of Popular Science. The robots were not part of the military but were actually creations of Walt Disney and were being prepared for the World’s Fair.
The robot which would eventually look like a caveman, would be able to grunt, groan, and draw a picture just to name a few of his finished talents.
While the Disney creations posted on Instagram were not used by the military, robotics are very much a part of the U.S. military arsenal. The armed services have been using and continue to develop drones and robots to help with their missions. At present, the robots used by the military are controlled by humans. Discussions are now centered around whether military robots should be controlled by artificial intelligence instead of humans.
