Video: Humanitarian Aid to Gaza is from Jordan Not Israel

Twitter and Facebook users share a video and still shots of it that claim Israel is sending humanitarian aid to Gaza. The video, which began circulating on May 18th, depicts a convoy of multiple trucks carrying goods and driving. Users expressed how humane Israel was and questioned why mainstream media was not covering the news.
Misbar’s Analysis
MENA: Israel did not send humanitarian aid sent to Gaza to assist Palestinians. It was from Jordan and Morocco. Jordanian King Abdullah gave the aid to be sent out to the West Bank and Gaza. This was confirmed by the Israeli Foreign Minister Twitter account.
The convoy of 20 trucks carrying food items and essential medical supplies, including field hospitals and vaccines, was allowed to enter the coastal enclave by Israel. Israel maintains direct external control over Gaza and indirect control over life within Gaza: it controls Gaza's air and maritime space, as well as six of Gaza's seven land crossings. Jordan has sent four convoys in total, the latest on the 27th of May, which included 12 trucks carrying medicine, medical supplies, relief aid, along with medical and technical personnel to support the Jordanian military field hospital in Gaza.
Since the convoy entered Gaza, the UNRWA has urged Israel to open crossings to allow humanitarian supplies and humanitarian workers to enter Gaza. Given the findings, the Misbar team confirms the claim as misleading, and Israel did not send humanitarian aid to Gaza but merely allowed it to pass through.
