After U.S. President Donald Trump spoke at the North Carolina Republican Convention on June 5, viewers began to speculate on the odd appearance of Trump’s pants. Social media users claimed that the pants were on backward, adding various other quips on his age and health issues.

Watching footage from the event, it’s hard to get a good glimpse of the front of the former President’s pants. Nevertheless, photographers at the event got closer shots from different angles. These clearly show the outline of a zipper, proving that Trump was indeed wearing his pants correctly. Much like false claims that President Biden did not drive the new Ford Lightning, sometimes photographs can be misleading.
Similar claims circulated late last year. In November the hashtag “#DiaperDon” trended on Twitter. The trend started after a comedian made unverifiable statements about Trump’s possible incontinence on the set of The Apprentice. Trump's latest fashion faux pas caused the hashtag to resurface.
