Emerging story
In response to a story posted on a number of alternative news sites, the claim that Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip were found guilty in the disappearance of 10 children went viral.
Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar’s investigation concluded that there is no evidence linking Queen Elizabeth with the disappearance of 10 children from Kamloops Residential School. The claim alleges that the children disappeared when Queen Elizabeth visited the school in 1964. While the Queen did visit Kamloops, once in 1959 and again after its closure in 1977, she was not there in 1964.
The original story alleges that the Queen was convicted by the International Tribunal into Crimes of Church and State (ITCCS). The ITCCS is a non-credentialed organization created by blogger and conspiracy theorist Kevin D. Annett.
Kamloops Residential School entered the media spotlight in May of 2021 after the remains of 215 children were found buried near the school’s grounds. There’s no doubt that horrendous abuse took place at the school. However, there is no evidence directly linking Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip with any of it.
