The claim may have originated from an anonymous voice memo from someone who claimed that his pilot friend told him that three pilots had been killed by the vaccine.

Misbar’s Analysis

When asked about it on Twitter, British Airways confirmed that four pilots had died recently but that their causes of death were not linked to the vaccine.

Pilot Nicholas Synnott died from complications caused by COVID itself. This occured after he left the hospital, and the illness likely damaged his internal organs. It is unconfirmed whether he was vaccinated.

Another British Airways pilot who had recently died is Edward Brice-Bennet. He was 33 when he passed away after a bike accident. Brice-Bennet’s death was initially reported as “mysterious” but was later found to be hemoperitoneum and abdominal trauma, both of which are caused by blunt force injuries.

Grant Mercer is the third British Airways pilot who recently passed, but his cause of death has not been made public.

The fourth pilot is still unknown. That his death is liked to the vaccine is unlikely. Vaccine-related deaths are extremely rare and reports of fatal side effects often correlate with those of the general pre-vaccinated population.
