On June 18, 2021, Real Raw News published the article, “Biden Body Double Meets Vlad Putin.” The claim soon took off on social media.
Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar’s investigation found that there is very little evidence that anyone besides the real Biden met with Putin on Wednesday, June 16, 2021. Video of the summit is below.
The two presidents discussed cybersecurity, arms control, human rights, and the Ukraine. Biden called the summit “positive,” and Putin called it “constructive.”
The conspiracy is part of an ongoing web of conspiracies about politician body doubles and clones, which Misbar has fact-checked before; however, there is no evidence proving the assertion. And, as we have discussed before, Real Raw News is not a legitimate news site. Finally, the summit was written about by multiple major news sources, who seemingly would have noticed if Biden was not, in fact, Biden.
