The clip shows Ronaldo removing his silver medal after his team Juventus lost the final of the Italian Super Cup in December 2019. The man in the video was the then Italian ambassador to Saudi Arabia.

However, after Ronaldo's gesture after the match in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, Ronaldo's gesture sparked outrage back in 2019. Ronaldo was the source of criticism after the game when he refused to wear his runners-up medal.
