Several social media users have been sharing a photo from an episode of the Simpsons purportedly predicting Richard Branson’s trip to space.

The circulating image is from a season 25 episode of The Simpsons called 'The War of Art.’ Although it does depict Richard Branson himself in space, several factors show it may not be a prediction after all.
First, while the design of Virgin Galactic’s spaceship was unveiled to the public in January 2008, ‘The War of Art’ episode originally aired on in 2014. Also, Richard Branson’s desire to fly to space has been an open secret for about 17 years.
Ultimately, Richard Branson himself is no stranger to The Simpsons. He once made a cameo appearance in a season 22 among Facebook's CEO, Mark Zuckerberg. However, some reports alleged that the Simpsons show has accurately predicted the future in several past episodes.
