The Claim

President Joe Biden started a program in which medical professionals knock on doors and forcibly vaccinate residents.

Emerging story

In an ongoing effort to get more people vaccinated, Biden has called for states to start more awareness programs and expressed a desire for “door-to-door” initiatives. Once some states got on board, right-leaning websites and anti-vaxxers expressed a concern that medical professionals would knock on people’s doors and vaccinate them inside their homes.

Some of them even promised to react with violence.

Misbar’s Analysis

These door-to-door efforts are awareness campaigns, not vaccinations. They are meant primarily to educate the public and dispel any misinformation about vaccines. Those involved are volunteers, not medical staff. They aim to be “non-confrontational” and informative.

Some of these programs do have a mobile vaccination clinic, just in case anyone they speak to expresses interest but doesn’t have reliable transportation to a clinic. However, they don’t come in unless asked for.
