MENA: The Afghan government collapsed – expediently and dramatically – over the weekend, as Taliban militant forces took over mere weeks after the United States’ withdrawal of troops. Since then, the Biden administration has defended its decision. President Joe Biden said: “American troops cannot and should not be fighting in a war and dying in a war that Afghan forces are not willing to fight for themselves. As we have discussed many times at Misbar, the Babylon Bee is a satire website. Anyone reading the actual article would likely note it is both hyperbolic and humorous. For example, one segment reads, “The White House also confirmed that the crowd of military-aged males with AK47s playing soccer on the White House lawn was just a fun little bit of performance art and nothing to be concerned over.”
