Social media users have been circulating news in different languages alleging a female anchor in the Afghan Tolo TV channel was killed by the Taliban on Friday. Users also posted a photo of the broadcaster, Zermina Mohammadi accompanying the claim.

MENA: Zermina Mohammadi, a Tolo TV news anchor, denied the claims on her official account on Facebook. She posted that she is fine and all the circulating claim is baseless.
Also, Tolo TV News official accounts did not report any news about their anchor's assassination.
On August 19, the channel's website published a story about the Taliban preventing two journalists from workIng.
The claim started circulating after the Taliban's takeover of Afghanistan and its entry into the capital, Kabul, on August 15, following the withdrawal of US forces.
