On August 28, a video of Bennet and Biden was circulating on the internet. The video shows the prime minister making a passionate and inspiring speech about the relationship between America and Israel, while Biden slumps forward with his eyes close.
It circulated on social media, with some expressing their shock and dislike for the president.
Misbar’s Analysis
MENA: This video is misleading. It is a tiny segment of a longer video, wherein Biden speaks, responds, quips, and changes positions.
He also doesn’t look like he’s asleep in the cropped video either: he’s twiddling his thumbs, which most people don’t do when they’re sleeping.
Right after the cropped video, Biden speaks up, saying that his predecessor Barack Obama deserves much of the credit for the state of Israel-American relations.
