Social media users have been circulating an image of a young woman with an airplane in the background, claiming that she is a Libyan airline captain named Nisreen al-Majbri. Users add that she was born in 1998, resides in Tunisia, and works in the country’s most prominent airport. Some posts were found circulating since 2020.
Misbar’s Analysis
Our investigation revealed that the images belong to a young Tunisian woman named Nesreen Jaouadi, not Nesreen Al-Majbri. Jaouadi is a student at the Tunisian Aviation School and is not Libyan. She shared the photos through her Facebook account in 2020.
According to Jaouadi’s Facebook account, she studied at Airline Flight Academy. The Misbar team could not confirm if she is a pilot. Since the woman's name in the claim is incorrect, and since her nationality is not Libyan, we rate this claim as misleading.
