In recent days, a number of social media users have begun posting images of what appears to be a billboard of President Biden alongside the text, “Making the Taliban Great Again!”
These posts have managed to gain thousands of interactions. In fact, a post by former California gubernatorial candidate Larry Elder asking who was responsible for the billboards has managed to gain over 11,000 reactions within days.

A U.S. local news channel confirmed the existence of at least one of the “Making the Taliban Great Again!” billboards in mid-September. The source stated that the location of this billboard was alongside Interstate 83 in York County, Pennsylvania. The source also stated that the person behind the billboard was a former Pennsylvania state senator.
USA Today also reported that there were 12 billboards with the image of President Biden and the “Making the Taliban Great Again!” text. These billboards reportedly cost the former state senator $15,000.
