Misbar’s Analysis
The Misbar team investigated the claim and found it to be fake. No declaration of bankruptcy was found on any official Twitter accounts, nor by its CEO Jack Dorsey. Moreover, no credible news sources reported on the claim.
However, during the same time the claim began circulating, Twitter announced that some accounts were facing issues accessing the website and that the company was working to fix it.
Twitter also revealed a binding agreement to settle a class-action lawsuit, under which it will pay over $809 million to resolve complaints against it over accusations of providing misleading information to investors about user interactions. Additional proof is that the social network is operating as expected.
