Misbar’s Analysis
We conducted a reverse image search of the photo and found that it was originally published several years ago. It actually depicts security used to protect the Sri Lankan cricket team playing in Pakistan in 2019.
A 2009 terror attack targeted the Sri Lankan team while they were visiting Pakistan; since then, Pakistan has rarely hosted cricket events.
The claim likely took off because the New Zealand Cricket team ended its 2021 Pakistan tour early due to security concerns.
