Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar investigated the claim and verified that the alleged Twitter account does not belong to Sinwar. The account’s bio reads that a Sinwar fan runs it and that the account is not official.
Hamas also confirmed through its official website that Yahya Sinwar, the movement’s Chief in Gaza, does not have any social media accounts on any social media platform, whether it is Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or any other platform.
Hamas also cautioned the media against failing to quote the movement’s official websites and platforms when attributing statements to it or any of its leaders or spokesperson.
Hamas also announced this Oct. 02 that a delegation headed by its head of political bureau will be directed to Cairo on Oct. 03, at the invitation of the Egyptian authorities.
