Misbar investigated the circulating video clip and found it misleading. The video clip was first found online in June 2019 during the Forces of Freedom and Change protests in Sudan.
Sudan has recently witnessed protests across the country in response to calls by political and civil society groups. The demonstrations took place to oppose the decisions made by the Sudanese military commander Abdel Fattah Burhan. These decisions include the dissolution of the civilian government, the Sovereignty Council, and the arrest of several politicians and other civilian officials.
