The World Health Organization denied the existence of the "Hihi" variant during a press conference.
"The Hihi variant does not exist," World Health Organization doctor Abdinasir Abubakar said during a press conference on the progress of COVID-19 in the Eastern Mediterranean region. "People must be more careful with what they share about the pandemic," he added.
Furthermore, no official report from China has been issued announcing the discovery of such a variant.
