Accounts and pages on social media have been circulating two photos since Thursday Nov. 11, claiming they were taken during the recent clashes in Halhoul City, north of Hebron Governorate.

Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar investigated the circulated claim and found it misleading. The two photos are outdated; they were first published online in Feb. 2018 during clashes between Palestinians and the Israeli military near Halhul Bridge Crossing. The photos were taken by Wafa Agency photographer Mashhour al-Wahwah, who confirmed in a phone call with Misbar that the photos were indeed outdated.
Photo Description: The photo shows the actual date when the photo was first posted on Facebook. The date in Arabic reads: Feb. 17, 2018.
Al-Wahwah has posted on his Facebook account that the two photos documented “clashes between [Palestinian] youth and the Occuption forces in 2018.”
Photo Description: Wafa News Agency photographer posted the photos clarifying that the actual date he took them was on Feb. 17, 2018.
