Misbar investigated the claim and found that it was fake. Neither the Barcelona club nor the new coach of the football team, Xavi Hernandez, announced that the contract signed between the two parties would allow him to participate as a player in crucial matches or in the event of midfielders' being injured. Moreover, the Misbar team did not find the circulating news published in the Spanish newspaper Sport or on any credible sports or news site.
On Monday, November 8, Barcelona presented its former star, Xavi, as the team's new coach to succeed Dutch coach Ronald Koeman. This came following the club's management reaching an agreement with the Qatari club Al Sadd to terminate Xavi's contract as a coach for their football team.
