Misbar investigated the circulated claim and found it misleading. Despite drawing with Burkina Faso in the match that brought them together, Algeria's national team qualified for the final round of African World Cup qualifiers, but this does not mean that it has qualified to play in the World Cup matches so far.
Algeria must win the play-off match in the African World Cup qualifiers to guarantee its place in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The decisive round matches will be held next March to determine the five teams representing Africa in the World Cup in Qatar.
