Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar investigated the circulated claim and found no evidence to support it. According to German news sources, the German police said they were unaware of any note Dr. Jendges may have left before his death.
Nor have any credible media published any statements by the doctor opposing the COVID-19 vaccine. Contrary to the widely circulated claim, Dr. Thomas supported vaccination; he stated on August 31, while opening a permanent vaccination center in the clinic in Germany’s city of Chemnitz. In the statement, Dr. Thomas said that the vaccine significantly reduces the risk of SARS-CoV-2’s severe infection.
Dr. Thomas Jendges, aged 55, had committed suicide on Nov. 2. He worked at the Chemnitz clinic since April 2021 and was promoted to managing director only weeks before his death.
