Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar investigated the purported photo and determined that it was misleading. The picture is outdated; it was taken in April 2017 during protests in Istanbul against the constitutional referendum results.
The claim comes as the Turkish Lira has lost much of its value against the U.S. dollar and has reached a record low.
