Misbar’s Analysis
According to Spanish media, Spain has given Morocco a 20-day deadline to destroy a Moroccan fish farm near the Zaffarines Islands. Last week, the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs delivered a letter of protest to the head of Morocco's embassy in Spain.
Moroccan news websites also reported the story, confirming that Spain's authorities had filed a complaint against a Moroccan fish farm installation near the Zaffarines Islands.
According to the Hespress news website, Spain considers the installation of the farm to be "an illegal occupation of Spanish territorial waters, a risk to navigation safety, and a threat to the environment."
Furthermore, the Twitter account that shared the claim was not the Moroccan Foreign Affairs Minister's. Morocco has yet to issue an official statement.
