Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar investigated the circulated claim and found it misleading. The photo is outdated; it was taken on October 18 of this year when heavy rains caused a river to overflow and flood a nearby hotel resort in the northern Indian state of Uttarakhand. Some 20 people were killed as a result.
Erbil Governorate in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq witnessed on the morning of Friday, Dec 17, 2021, heavy rains causing floods that swept several residential areas, leaving 11 people dead and damaging buildings and cars.
