Misbar investigated the claim and found it to be false. Ramez Awwad, the photographer who captured the image, told Misbar that the image was taken two years ago.
The picture circulating was taken in Ramallah on December 14, 2019, according to Ramez Awwad, a Palestinian photographer. Awwad posted a statement to clarify the date of the photo, assuring that it was not taken today and that it was not taken in Bethlehem, as circulating.
