The Japan Times news website has published an article in which they reported on Japanese researchers working on developing a new vaccine to provide lifetime efficacy against the COVID-19.
According to the article, the pharmaceutical company will conduct the first two clinical trial periods of the vaccine in Japan during the first half of 2023.
The website also added that nearly 150 to 200 volunteers would participate in the trial.

The WHO Director-General Adhanom Ghebreyesus said, in a statement that the pandemic could be put to an end in 2022, but only through global cooperation. He also warned that “continuing inequity in vaccine distribution helps increase the risk of the virus evolving.”
