Social media accounts have recently shared a news piece claiming that Mo Salah, Liverpool player and coach of Egypt’s national team, made a statement via Sky Sports News network following Algeria’s elimination from the Afcon 2021. In the statement, Mo Salah allegedly made reference to a plot against Algeria in the tournament.

The news piece alleges that Mo Salah saw the Japoma Stadium, in which Algeria’s national team played during the fifth group stage, and said it does not meet the required standards.

Having searched the Sky Sports news website, Misbar’s team found no news in relation to the circulated claim. The last piece the website published about Mo Salah had nothing to do with Algeria’s elimination from the Afcon 2021.
